Real wheat flour, just as nature intended - no sifting or adulteration or any kind. True whole wheat contains the full wheat kernel (or berry) and includes the germ and bran, two parts of the wheat that contain the most flavor and nutrition. Ours comes from a soft white winter wheat with less protein than our bread flour for tender cookies and baked goods.
Will work in any pastry recipe that calls for whole wheat, and can be added in small quantities to most baked goods to boost the nutty, sweet, grassy flavor distinct to freshly milled flour.
